How can we help?

Answers to common questions. Stripix runs on your device, so we can’t see your files, and we can’t lose them either.

Email us

We read every message and usually reply within a couple of days.

The quickest way is Settings → Contact support in the app: it opens your mail app with the app version, device model and system version already filled in. For anything about a purchase, add the date and which plan you bought.

What helps us answer faster

  • Device model and system version: on iPhone in Settings → General → About, on Android in Settings → About phone.
  • Stripix version (shown at the bottom of the app’s Settings screen).
  • What you did, what you expected, what happened.
  • A screenshot if something looks wrong — never the original photo unless you’re happy sharing it.

We can’t see your files. Stripix runs on your device and has no servers, so if you need us to reproduce a problem, you’ll have to describe it or send a test file you don’t mind sharing.

Questions

Getting started

First run, saving, sharing, Shortcuts
Is there an account or sign-in?

No. Open the app and start. There’s nothing to register and nothing to reset.

Does it work without internet?

Yes, fully. Airplane mode is fine. The app goes online only for purchases, through the App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat.

Where do converted files go?

Wherever you choose when saving: back to Photos, to a folder in Files, or straight into the Share Sheet. On Android: the Gallery, a folder you pick, or the share menu. Originals are never modified.

Can I use Stripix from the Share Sheet?

Yes. Select photos in Photos or Files, tap Share and choose Stripix. On Android, share photos from any app and pick a Stripix action: Convert, Clean metadata, Image → PDF or Compress.

Stripix is missing from the Share Sheet

Open the Share Sheet from Photos or Files, scroll the row of apps to the end and tap More. Find Stripix and turn it on; you can drag it to the front of the list. On Android, Stripix’s actions (Convert, Clean metadata, Image → PDF, Compress) appear in the share menu; on some phones a newly installed app first sits behind More.

How do I run a workflow from Shortcuts?

Save a workflow in the app first. Then, in the Shortcuts app, add an action and search for “Stripix”: your saved workflows appear there and in the Share Sheet. Android has no Shortcuts app: run workflows from the Workflows screen in the app, or touch and hold the Stripix icon for quick tool shortcuts.

Privacy and data

What stays on your device
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens on your device — try it in Airplane Mode. See the Privacy Policy.

What exactly does “remove metadata” delete?

Location (GPS), device and lens info, capture date and time, software tags and thumbnails embedded in the file. Remove location only strips GPS and leaves the rest.

Does removing metadata reduce quality?

No. Metadata sits outside the image data. Pixels are untouched. Converting or compressing does re-encode the image, and you control the quality there.

The app can’t see my photos

Check iOS Settings → Stripix → Photos. “Limited Access” works fine: the app sees only the photos you selected, and you can add more there. On Android the app needs no photo permission: it sees only what you pick with the photo picker or the Files picker.

Purchases and Pro

Trial, plans, restore, refunds
How do I start the free trial?

In the app, open Pro and choose Yearly. 7 days free, then $19.99 a year. Cancel any time before day 7 and you won’t be charged.

I reinstalled the app or got a new iPhone, and Pro is gone

Open Settings → Restore purchases (or Restore on the Pro screen). Your plan belongs to your Apple Account, so as long as you are signed in with the same one, it comes back. Restoring needs an internet connection once.

Restore Pro on Android

Sign in to Google Play with the Google account that bought Pro, then open Settings → Restore purchases in the app. Restoring needs an internet connection once.

It says “Couldn’t verify your subscription”

Pro works offline, but the app needs to confirm your plan with the App Store (Google Play on Android) from time to time. If it stays offline for a long time after the plan’s renewal date, Pro pauses until it can check again. Connect to the internet and tap Check again on the Home screen.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In the app: Settings → Manage subscription. Or on your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Stripix. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged. On Android: Settings → Manage subscription in the app, or the Play Store app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Stripix. Cancel any time before the renewal date.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by the store, not by us. App Store purchases: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play purchases: Google Play refunds.

Is Lifetime really one payment?

Yes. $39.99 once, no subscription, all future updates. A purchase stays with its store, so Pro bought on Google Play doesn’t unlock the iPhone app. iPad and Mac versions are coming and will be included in an App Store purchase.

Family Sharing?

Not yet. It’s on the list.

Troubleshooting

When something doesn't work
A file won’t open or convert

Stripix decodes files on your device: with the system’s decoders on iPhone and iPad, and with the app’s built-in decoders on Android. Most RAW formats work, but support for some cameras depends on the device and system version. If a file fails, send it to us if you can, or tell us the camera and file type.

The compressed file is bigger than the target.

Very small targets on very large photos need a smaller size in pixels as well as a lower quality. In Compress, turn on Shrink only if needed or pick a smaller Max dimension.

Batch stops halfway.

Try a smaller batch and tell us which device you have. Stripix logs nothing, so your report is how we find these.
