Short version: your photos and files never leave your device. The only thing that goes online is your purchase, checked with an anonymous ID.

This policy explains what information Stripix: Photo Converter for iPhone and Android (“the app”) collects and how it is used. The app is made by an independent developer (“we”, “us”).

1. Your photos and files

Everything the app does to your photos and PDFs — converting, resizing, compressing, reading and removing metadata, watermarks, text recognition (OCR) and making PDFs — runs on your device. Your files are never uploaded, and we never receive them. The app works fully in Airplane Mode.

Metadata such as camera details, dates and location coordinates is read and removed on the device. Coordinates are shown to you as numbers and are never sent anywhere.

While a job runs, the app keeps working copies in its temporary storage and deletes them as soon as the job ends, on both iPhone and Android. Results go only where you send them: your photo library, the Files app or the share sheet.

On Android, the app requests no storage or media permission. Files reach it only through the system photo picker, the Files picker or the share menu, and results are written as new files to your Gallery (the Pictures/Stripix album) or to a folder you pick.

2. Photos access

You pick photos with the system photo picker, which gives the app only the photos you choose. Saving results needs “Add Photos Only” access. The app asks for access to your library only for features that need to read it, and “Limited Access” is fully supported. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Stripix → Photos.

On Android, the system photo picker shares with the app only the photos you select, one pick at a time. The app holds no photo, media or storage permission, so there is nothing to grant or revoke. If you prefer, you can pick files with the Files picker instead.

3. Settings and workflows

On iPhone and iPad, your settings and saved workflows are stored on your device, in storage shared only with the app’s own Share Sheet extension and Shortcuts actions. Deleting the app deletes them.

To keep Pro working after a reinstall, the app keeps a copy of your plan status (plan, expiry date, time of the last check) in your device’s Keychain. It stays on the device.

On Android, your settings and saved workflows are stored on your device in the app’s own storage, shared with no other app, and deleted with the app. Android Auto Backup is turned off for Stripix, so none of it is copied to your Google Drive backup. The app keeps a copy of your plan status in its own storage, encrypted with the Android Keystore; it stays on the device and is deleted with the app. After a reinstall, your plan is restored from your Google account through Google Play (see 4).

4. Purchases (Apple, Google and RevenueCat)

On iPhone and iPad, purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive your name, Apple Account or payment card details. On Android, Google processes payments through Google Play Billing; we never receive your payment details or Google account details. To confirm and restore your plan, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives:

  • an anonymous identifier created for your installation of the app;
  • your purchase and transaction history for this app (on Android, including the Google Play purchase token);
  • basic technical information needed for the request, such as the app and system version, device model, App Store or Google Play country and IP address.

This information is used only to tell the app which plan you have. It is not linked to your identity, there is no account, and it is not used for advertising or tracking. RevenueCat never sees your photos or files. The app sends this information to RevenueCat over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), on both platforms. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

5. No ads, no analytics, no tracking

The app has no ads and no analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not ask to track you across apps and websites, and we have no servers of our own. The Android app requests Internet access solely for purchase verification; it does not use the Android advertising ID and does not request the advertising ID permission.

6. Crash reports

If you turn on Share With App Developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us. This is controlled by Apple and by you, not by the app. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

On Android, if usage and diagnostics sharing is turned on in your Google settings, Google may share anonymous crash and “app not responding” statistics with us through Google Play (Android vitals). The app itself sends none. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

7. Contacting support

“Contact support” in the app opens a pre-filled draft in your mail app that includes the app version, device model and system version (iOS or Android); nothing is sent automatically, on either platform, and you can edit the draft before sending it. If you write to us, we receive your email address and your message and use them only to answer you. We delete them on request.

8. Children

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. We hold no personal data about you except emails you send us. The purchase records kept by RevenueCat are anonymous; if you want them deleted, write to us with the date of the purchase and the order ID from your Apple receipt or the Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.), and we will find and delete them.

10. Sharing of information

We do not sell or share your personal information. RevenueCat processes purchase information on our behalf, for both stores, only as described above.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
